Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of the Oceanside City Roleplay website and Discord community (together, the "Service"). By using the Service — including logging in, submitting an application, or joining our Discord server — you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the Service.
What We Are
Oceanside City Roleplay is a community server for the Roblox game Emergency Response: Liberty County (ER:LC). We are an independent fan community and are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Roblox Corporation, Discord Inc., or the developers of ER:LC. Their names and trademarks belong to their respective owners.
Eligibility
You must meet Discord's and Roblox's own minimum age and account requirements to use their platforms, which this Service depends on. It's your responsibility to comply with both platforms' terms in addition to ours.
Your Account
You log in through Discord's own OAuth2 login — we never see or store your Discord password. You're responsible for whatever happens under your Discord account while using the Service, including actions taken by anyone you've given access to it.
Applications
Submitting a division application does not guarantee acceptance. Applications are reviewed by our staff and scored against criteria we set. If denied, you're welcome to reapply from the website. While an application is pending or approved, you can't submit another one for the same division. We may edit, remove, or close applications at any time.
Staff Panel & Roles
Staff members granted access to the Staff Panel must link a Roblox account to use certain features (like starting a shift), and their shift activity and in-game moderation actions are logged as described in our Privacy Policy. Staff roles and permissions may be added, changed, or removed at any time at our discretion, including for inactivity or misuse of staff tools.
Code of Conduct
- Follow Discord's Terms of Service and Community Guidelines, and Roblox's Terms of Use, at all times
- No harassment, hate speech, or targeted abuse of other members or staff
- No exploiting, cheating, or abusing bugs in ER:LC or on this website
- No impersonating staff or other members
- No abusing the application system (spam applications, false information, ban evasion)
Moderation & Enforcement
Our staff may issue warnings, kicks, or bans against players in-game through the Staff Panel's moderation tools, consistent with our community rules. Violating these terms or our community rules may result in a warning, role removal, application denial, an in-game ban, or removal from our Discord server, at our discretion. Our decisions about community membership and access are separate from — and don't override — any action Discord or Roblox may separately take on their own platforms.
Third-Party Services
The Service relies on Discord, Roblox, Bloxlink, and ER:LC's private server API to function. We don't control these services and aren't responsible for their outages, changes, or how they separately handle your data — see our Privacy Policy for details on what we ourselves store.
No Warranty
The Service is provided "as is," without warranties of any kind. We don't guarantee it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or available at all times.
Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Oceanside City Roleplay and its staff aren't liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service, including loss of Discord roles, in-game bans, or application outcomes.
Changes
We may update these terms or the Service itself at any time. Continued use after a change means you accept the revised terms.
Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service — including removing you from our Discord server or revoking staff access — at any time, for any reason, including violating these terms.
